Tim O’Brien

Tim O’Brien is an illustrator and portrait painter whose illustrations have appeared most notably in Time, Newsweek, Esquire, Atlantic Monthly, National Geographic, Playboy, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Premiere, Reader’s Digest, Avon Books, Ballantine, Dial, Harper Collins, Penguin, Times Books, Viking and Simon & Schuster. He has received multiple awards and recognitions from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles, the Society of Publication Designers, the Art Directors Club, Communications Arts, Graphis, Print, and American Illustration. O’Brien has seven paintings in the collection of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. and was the youngest artist included in the recent update of The Illustrator in America 1880-2000.
