Tom Cocotos

Tom Cocotos received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Columbia University in 1988, and his MFA in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 1995. Heavily influenced by his Greek heritage, specifically Byzantine icons, Cocotos enjoys drawing in this timeless style and reinterpreting through the contemporary feel of collage. He has worked for a variety of clients such as Columbia House, Disney, ESPN, Grey Advertising, MTV/VH-1, Newsweek, Playboy, Raygun, Time, Vibe and the Manhattan Theatre Company and Roundabout Theatre Company. Cocotos has been the recipient of numerous awards including those from American Illustration, Folio magazine, and the Society of Illustrators in New York City and Los Angeles.
